I’m baby sitting my niece and nephew tomorrow, any good games or movies that would be fun for them? My niece is six and my nephew is seven. I’m kinda at a loss with children.
great movies:
Bedtime Stories
Nemo
Meet the Robinsons
The Jungle Book (Disney animation)
Peter Pan
Games:
Candy Land
Jr Monopoly
Just have fun! Play outside, make dinner, teach them a card game, have them get ready for bed, play a video game, pop some popcorn and put in a movie
when i was that age, i didn’t like being treated like a baby. i didn’t play games at that age either. well computer games and video games. but i hated board games. maybe they have some stuff to play with, let them decide what to do. as for movies, can you get something on on demand? if not, again, they probably own a movie or two that they like. just remember not to baby them but don’t let them go crazy. they wanna be treated like adults, but they aren’t, so try giving them a special privilege that they normally aren’t aloud to do and say for the night they can be whatever age they want. but they need to be responsible and make good choices so they can do it again. it works for me.
good luck
cars, lizzie mcguire movie(personal favorite at that age, and still) hm…cant really tell you, at that age i didnt like games anymore. games are for kids that are too young to start school. otherwise they will feel like you are babying them. when i was in 1st grade i couldnt stand it because i knew i looked like a child but i didnt feel young. i justr wanted to be treated like an adult, you know…i got mad at adults when they baby-talked me and everything. also dont use the word ‘bedtime’
Try watching Bolt,Toy Story,or Cars with them.A good game for kids in that age group is any Cootie games, like Don’t spill the beans!or Don’t Break the ice! they are really inexpensive too.
